A full walkthrough of Partzer from start to finish

Connecting to eBay

Before you can create listings or update SKUs, you need to connect your eBay seller account. Partzer uses eBay's official OAuth login — your eBay password is never stored or seen by Partzer.

1

Click "Connect eBay" in the top header

The button appears on every page. If already connected, it shows your live connection status.

2

Sign in on eBay's official login page

You'll be redirected to eBay. Enter your seller account credentials there — Partzer never sees your password.

3

Grant Partzer permission

eBay will ask you to approve access. Click "Agree". Partzer only requests the permissions it needs: listing management, marketing (Promoted Listings), and account info.

4

You're connected

You'll be redirected back to Partzer. The header will show your eBay connection status in green.

Token Expiry

eBay tokens expire periodically. If listings start failing with auth errors or you see "Not connected", go to Settings → Disconnect eBay → reconnect to get a fresh token.

Creating a Listing

The Manual Listing Creator is divided into 6 sections. Fill them out top to bottom and click "Create Listing" — Partzer handles uploading images to eBay's servers, attaching fitment data, and publishing the listing in one shot.

Section 1 — Media

Upload up to 24 photos. Drag and drop them or click the upload area to select files. Images are automatically compressed before upload.

  • First image = Cover Photo. A green "Cover Photo" badge marks it.
  • Drag thumbnails to reorder. Drop a photo onto another to swap positions — the Cover Photo badge follows automatically.
  • • Hover any thumbnail and click the red ✕ to remove it.

Section 2 — Part Identification (Optional)

Auto-fill listing fields using your saved vehicles and the parts database, or leave it blank and fill everything manually.

  • • Select a vehicle from "Quick-Fill My Vehicles" to pre-load year/make/model.
  • • Optionally select a specific part from the database — this auto-fills the title, description template, and compatibility data.
  • • Upload a custom CSV (Year, Make, Model columns) to override compatibility with your own fitment chart.
  • • If this section is left blank, all fields must be filled manually in the sections below.

Section 3 — Listing Details

The core listing fields: title, description, condition, and item specifics.

  • Title — what buyers see in search results. Be specific: include Year, Make, Model, part name, and OEM/part number.
  • Description Template — choose a pre-built HTML template to auto-generate the listing description. You can edit the live preview directly before submitting.
  • Condition — select New, Used, Remanufactured, etc. A preset description fills in automatically. Edit it freely or clear it and type your own (1,000 character limit).
  • Brand, Make, Model, Year, Identified Part — shown as eBay Item Specifics on the listing. Leave any field blank to omit it entirely.

Section 4 — Pricing & SKU

Set price, quantity, and your internal SKU/Custom Label.

  • SKU Format Builder — toggle "Use SKU Format" to construct a SKU from parts like a custom prefix, part number, OEM number, and year. A live preview updates as you type.
  • Allow Best Offers — lets buyers submit offers below your asking price. Note: not compatible with all eBay categories.

Section 5 — Listing Options

Shipping, returns, and eBay category.

  • • Select a Shipping Policy from the options configured in your Settings (Economy, Standard, Express, Free, Top Rated).
  • • Select a Return Policy and your eBay Category.
  • • These require valid eBay Business Policy IDs to be set in your Settings page first.

Section 6 — Shipping Details (Optional)

Package weight and dimensions — sent to eBay for calculated shipping accuracy. All fields are optional; only fill in what's known.

  • Weight — enter pounds and/or ounces.
  • Dimensions — Length × Width × Height in inches.

Print item tag

Above the "Create Listing" button there's a "Print item tag" checkbox. Check it to automatically print an inventory tag for the part right after the listing publishes — no need to visit the Item Tag Generator separately. Turn on "Always Print Tag After Listing" in Settings to remove the checkbox and print every time automatically.

Promoted Listings — Automatic

If you've set a promotion rate in Settings, every listing is automatically enrolled in eBay Promoted Listings Standard after it publishes. No extra steps needed.

eBay Business Policies Required

Your eBay account must have Business Policies enabled. Set up at least one shipping and one return policy in eBay Seller Hub (Account → Business Policies), then paste the Policy IDs into your Partzer Settings page.

AI Listing Generator

The AI Listing Generator is the fastest way to create a listing. Upload a photo of the part, fill in a few vehicle details, and the AI writes the full listing — title, description, item specifics, compatibility, and pricing fields — all on one page. Review the draft, make any edits, and publish directly to eBay without switching tools.

1

Upload a photo and fill in vehicle details

At the top of the page, upload one or more photos of the part. On the right side, enter the vehicle info — year, make, model, and any part number or notes you have. The more context you give, the more accurate the output.

2

Click "Generate Listing"

The AI analyzes the photo and your input, then produces a complete draft: title, SKU, description, listing details, compatibility chart, item specifics, and package info — all populated below the input area.

3

Review and edit the draft

All generated fields are editable. Adjust the title, update the price, tweak the description, or modify compatibility rows before submitting. Nothing is sent to eBay until you click the create button.

4

Optionally check "Print item tag"

Above the create button, check this box to automatically print an inventory tag for the part after the listing is created. The tag format and size come from your Settings. Enable "Always Print Tag After Listing" in Settings to skip the checkbox entirely.

5

Click "Create eBay Listing"

The listing is published directly to your eBay store. If a promotion rate is set in Settings, it's enrolled in Promoted Listings Standard automatically.

Pro Tip

Include the OEM part number in your input. The AI will include it in the title and description, making your listing more discoverable by buyers searching that exact part number.

SKU Update Tool

The SKU Update Tool lets you upload a CSV and bulk-update the Custom Label (SKU) field across all your active eBay listings at once. Useful when part numbers change or when migrating from another system.

1

Prepare your CSV file

Your CSV needs at least two columns: eBay Item ID and the new SKU. You can export your active listings from eBay Seller Hub to get a file with all Item IDs ready.

2

Go to Dashboard → SKU Update Tool

Navigate to the SKU Update page from your Dashboard.

3

Upload your CSV and map the columns

Select which column is the Item ID and which is the SKU. The tool previews the first few rows so you can verify before running.

4

Run the update

Click "Update SKUs". The tool processes each row and shows a live success/failure count. Failed rows are listed so you can fix and retry.

Pro Tip

Export your active listings from eBay Seller Hub as a CSV first — it gives you a ready-made file with all Item IDs that you can add your new SKUs to.

Compatibility Search

The Compatibility Search tool lets you look up which vehicles a part fits before you list it. Search by part number or OEM number and see a list of compatible years, makes, and models — exportable as a CSV for your listing.

1

Enter a part number or OEM number

Type the part number into the search box. The tool queries the fitment database and returns all compatible vehicles.

2

Review the fitment results

Results are grouped by Year, Make, and Model. Filter by vehicle type to narrow down the list.

3

Export as CSV

Click "Export CSV" to download the fitment data. Upload this CSV directly into Section 2 of the Listing Creator to attach compatibility to your listing.

My Listings

My Listings shows all the active eBay listings in your seller account. View, search, and manage them directly from Partzer without going to eBay Seller Hub.

1

View all active listings

Partzer fetches your active eBay listings and displays them with title, price, quantity, and SKU.

2

Search and filter

Use the search bar to find listings by title or SKU.

3

Click through to eBay

Each listing links directly to the eBay listing page where you can edit or end it.

My Vehicles

My Vehicles is a saved list of the vehicles you commonly list parts for. Once saved, any vehicle appears in the "Quick-Fill My Vehicles" dropdown in the Listing Creator so you can auto-fill Year, Make, and Model in one click — no retyping required every time.

1

Add a vehicle

Go to Dashboard → My Vehicles and click "Add Vehicle". Enter the year, make, and model. Optionally upload a photo.

2

Use it in the Listing Creator

In Section 2 of the Listing Creator, open the "Quick-Fill My Vehicles" dropdown and select the vehicle. Year, Make, and Model are pre-filled instantly.

3

Manage your list

Edit or delete vehicles from the My Vehicles page at any time. Changes reflect immediately in the dropdown.

Pro Tip

Add every vehicle you regularly source parts for. The Quick-Fill dropdown speeds up listing creation significantly when you're batching parts from the same machine.

Item Tag Generator

The Item Tag Generator creates printable inventory tags for your parts. Each tag includes the part name, SKU, and a barcode — perfect for labeling parts bins and shelves. Tags can be printed manually from this page, or automatically right after a listing is created from either listing app.

1

Enter the part details

Fill in the part name, SKU, and eBay Item ID. The Item ID is used to generate the barcode on the tag.

2

Choose your tag layout and size

Three layouts are available: Dual (barcode + info side by side), Single (stacked), and Vertical. Three sizes are available: Small, Medium, and Large — sized for common thermal label stock. Your preferred layout and size are saved in Settings and remembered for every future print.

3

Print the tag

Click "Print Tag". The tag prints directly on the current page — no new tabs open. Your browser's print dialog appears with the correct label dimensions already set.

Auto-print from listing apps

Both the AI Listing Generator and the Manual Listing Creator have a "Print item tag" checkbox above the create button. Check it and a tag prints automatically after the listing publishes — no need to visit this page at all. Enable "Always Print Tag After Listing" in Settings to make this happen on every listing without checking the box each time.

Settings

The Settings page is where you configure the IDs and preferences that power every listing you create. Set these up once and the Listing Creator uses them automatically every time.

Shipping Policy IDs

Paste in the eBay Business Policy IDs for each shipping tier you offer. Find them in eBay Seller Hub under Account → Business Policies.

  • • Economy, Standard, Express
  • • Free Shipping
  • • Top Rated Shipping

Return Policy ID

Paste in your eBay return policy ID. This is applied to every listing you create. Create or find it in eBay Seller Hub under Account → Business Policies → Returns.

Promotion Rate

Set a percentage bid rate (e.g. 5%) for eBay Promoted Listings Standard. Every listing you create is automatically enrolled at this rate. Set to 0 or leave blank to disable promotions.

eBay Connection

Connect, disconnect, or switch your eBay seller account from the Settings page. Disconnecting and reconnecting also refreshes your OAuth token if listings start failing.

Always Print Tag After Listing

Toggle this on to automatically print an inventory tag after every listing is created — in both the AI Listing Generator and the Manual Listing Creator. When enabled, the per-listing print checkbox is hidden and printing happens every time without any extra steps.

Tag Layout & Size

Choose your preferred tag layout and label size. These apply everywhere tags are printed — manually from the Item Tag Generator and automatically from the listing apps.

  • Layout — Dual, Single, or Vertical
  • Size — Small (2.5×1.5 in), Medium (3×2 in), Large (4×6 in)

Policy IDs are required before listing

Listing creation will fail if shipping or return policy IDs are missing or incorrect. Always double-check these after changing your eBay Business Policies.

Account

Your Account page is where you manage your Partzer profile and subscription.

Profile

  • • Update your full name and company name
  • • Change your email address
  • • Change your password
  • • Upgrade or cancel your subscription plan

Advanced

  • • Permanently delete your Partzer account
  • • All data is erased immediately and cannot be recovered
  • • You must confirm twice before deletion proceeds

Tips & Best Practices

Write specific titles

Include Year, Make, Model, part name, and OEM/part number in your listing title. eBay buyers often search by exact part number — if it's in the title, you'll be found.

Always add fitment data

Listings with a fitment compatibility chart appear in eBay's "Parts & Accessories" search, which gets significantly more traffic for vehicle-specific parts than the general marketplace.

Put your best photo first

The first image is the cover photo shown in search results. Drag your clearest, most compelling shot into the first position before submitting. The green "Cover Photo" badge always marks which one it is.

Use at least 4–6 photos

Show the part from multiple angles, include any visible wear, and photograph the part number stamp if visible. More photos build buyer confidence and reduce returns.

Save your common vehicles

Add every machine you regularly pull parts from to My Vehicles. The Quick-Fill dropdown in the Listing Creator means you never retype the same Year/Make/Model twice.

Enter package weight and dimensions

Filling in Section 6 (weight/dims) helps eBay calculate accurate shipping rates for buyers. It also reduces disputes from buyers who receive incorrect shipping charges.

Keep your eBay policies set up

If your eBay Business Policies are deleted or changed in Seller Hub, listing creation will fail. Check your policy IDs in Settings if you start seeing listing errors.

Reconnect eBay if listings stop working

eBay OAuth tokens expire. If the Listing Creator or SKU Update tool starts returning auth errors, go to Settings → disconnect → reconnect to refresh your token.
